Upcoming SALs

 

Just a reminder that we have two SALs in the offing..

For December we have Sew Advent 2023. This SAL runs from Dec 1-24 and comprises of a tiny bite size chart delivered to you daily by email. It is stitched one over one on 32ct spruce blue Belfast linen using AVAS silk threads in white, red and green. The stitch count is 71 x 316 so the finished design will measure 5.8cm (2¼") wide x 25.15cm (9.90") in length. The cost for this SAL is US$22 payable by Paypal.

Starting on January 5 2023 is the Turquoise Band Sampler SAL. This SAL runs for 30 weeks and you will receive a weekly chart every Friday. This Band Sampler is stitched one over one on 80mm (3.15") wide antique white banding but can be stitched on 90mm (3.55") or 100mm (3.95"). The model is stitched on 80mm in AVAS 125. The cost for this SAL is US$30 payable by Paypal.

Both of these SALs can be stitched over two if you wish.

Connie Rose Band Sampler

 

Connie Rose Band Sampler - this design was the most recent SAL which has now finished and the chart is released for general sale. It is stitched one over one on 28ct linen banding (100mm wide though the design will work on 80mm and 90mm wide banding too). It is stitched with AVAS Soie d'alger 3023 (DMC 3687) and a small colour section using AVAS 3023 (DMC 3687), 1835 (DMC 367) and 3025 (DMC 3350) . It can also be stitched over two threads on 170mm wide banding.  The stitch count is 73 x 985

Sew Advent 2022

Sew Advent 2022 - this was a SAL for Advent 2022 and the chart is now available to purchase. The stitch count is 29 x 430 and the model is stitched on 50mm wide blue banding one over one (although it can be stitched over two on wider banding (100mm)) with AVAS silk threads AVAS 4096 (DMC B5200) white, AVAS 945 (DMC 498) red, AVAS 3422 (DMC 839) brown, AVAS 226 (DMC 700) green and AVAS 2235 (DMC 729) gold.

2022 and 2023 SALs

 

Just a reminder that we have two SALs in the offing..

For December we have Sew Advent 2022. This SAL runs from Dec 1-24 and comprises of a tiny bite size chart delivered to you daily by email. It is stitched on 50mm (2") wide 28ct blue banding using AVAS silk threads in red, white, green, gold and brown. The stitch count is 29 x 430 so the finished design will measure 2½cm(1") wide x 39cm (15½") in length. The cost for this SAL is US$20 payable by Paypal.

Starting on January 6 2023 is the Connie Rose Band Sampler SAL. This SAL runs for 30 weeks and you will receive a weekly chart every Friday. This Band Sampler is stitched on 80mm (3.15") wide antique white banding but can be stitched on 90mm (3.55") or 100mm (3.95"). The model is stitched on 80mm. The main colour is AVAS 3023 but there is small colour section towards the bottom using a darker pink, a green and, of course, the pink. The cost for this SAL is US$30 payable by Paypal.

The above picture shows some of the materials needed for the Sew Advent 2022 SAL as supplied by Steekjes & Kruisjes *here* where you can purchase either a complete kit for this project or buy the individual items  Registration is now open for this SAL which runs from dec 1 to 24. Each day you will received a small bite size chart to stitch and, if you keep up, you will have a finished piece in time for Christmas. It is stitched one over one on 50mm wide blue banding (28ct) although, if you prefer you can stitch over two on a wider (100mm) banding. There s a Facebook group for iStitch Designs *here*  where progress will be posted. The silk threads are by Au Ver a one but DM threads can be used. Spools to fit the banding area also available.

Sampler Needleroll


The Sampler Needleroll stitched 1*2 on 40ct white Newcastle line with AVAS 1715 (DMC 312) blue. The sampler was stitched 1*2 on 36ct white linen with AVAS 2926 (DMC 312) red. The stitch count is 90 x 60

The stitch count is 27 x 483 and the model is stitched one over one (although it can be stitched over two on wider banding) with AVAS silk threads Blanc Optique (DMC B5200) white, AVAS 2242 (DMC 676) gold, AVAS 3834 (DMC 640) brown, AVAS 2926 (DMC 814) red, AVAS 2126 (DMC 935) green.

Registration is now open for this SAL which runs from December 1 to 24. Each day you will receive a small bite size chart to stitch and, if you keep up, you will  have a finished piece in time for Christmas. It is stitched one over one on 50mm wide banding (28ct) although, if you prefer you can stitch over two on a wider (100mm) banding. There is a Facebook group for iStitch Designs *here* where progress will be posted. The silk threads used are by Au Ver a Soie but DMC colours can be used. Spools to fit the banding are also available.

SALs
Two new SALs from iStitch Designs: 

 1. Sew Advent SAL 2021 which runs from Dec 1-24. A standard information sheet is being prepared and will be supplied on registration. This is a very small daily stitch and, if you keep up, you will have a finished piece by Christmas Day. Price: US$18 

 2. Denim Band Sampler SAL 2022. This SAL starts on the first Friday in January 2022. It is stitched 1*1 on 28ct linen banding with AVAS 1714 silk thread. This has the same stitch count as Blue Band Sampler, Red Band Sampler, Black Band Sampler, Amethyste Band Sampler and the current SAL Jade Band Sampler - 73 x 985. Price: US$30

If you are interested in any of the above please email me at istitch37@mail.com Registration is now open with invoices being sent out in later in the year. 

Jade Band Sampler is the ongoing SAL. We are on Week 26 of a 30 week SAL. If you are interested in joining at even this late stage - please email me. The pattern will be available as a whole after the SAL is finished.

Sew Advent 2019

Sew Advent 2019 - this was a SAL for Advent 2019 and now the chart is available to purchase here. The stitch count is 146w x 50h and the model is stitched 1*2 on white 40ct linen with NPI silk threads in NPI silk threads 991BB (white)(DMC B5200), 973 (brown)(DMC3021), 406 (green)(DMC 895) and 504 (red)(DMC816). The four-sided stitch edging is done with no 12 DMC white perle cotton.

Burgundy Band Sampler 2020 SAL





Burgundy Band Sampler 2020 SAL - This is a 28 week SAL which starts on January 3. The charts will be sent out every Friday and the sections are quite do-able and leave time for your other stitching. Please note that this does not have to be stitched on banding and can be stitched in any colour thread of your choice. 

The cost of this SAL is US$27 and covers Parts 1 and 2 (plus a bonus chart) and is payable by Paypal.

This 100mm wide banding can be obtained from Marijke *here* you will need to purchase 100cm to complete the sampler. If you have difficulty with the site being in Dutch just email Marijke at ateliersteekjesenkruisjes@gmail.com  explain you are joining iStitch Designs Burgundy Band Sampler 2020 SAL and giving her your address and PayPal address. She will then work out mailing costs and send you an invoice. She speaks/writes in excellent English. I understand it is available from Sassy Jacks too.

I used AVAS soie d’alger 2926 (6 skeins) but you can, of course, stitch this band is any colour/threads of your choice.

Raffle
*EDITED* This raffle was drawn on September 7 and the winners were:

These are the prizes for the iStitch Designs Raffle being held in conjunction with the Burgundy Band Sampler SAL which start the first Friday in January 2020. 1st prize is a complete kit to stitch this project - weekly charts, banding, 6 skeins of the AVAS silk threads and a beautiful cherry wood spool custom made to fit the banding. 2nd prize is a French glass frog - just right to display your scissors!  If you want to join this SAL please email me (you can find my email address under my Profile). SALs


Two new SALs from iStitch Designs:

1.  Sew Advent SAL 2019 which runs from Dec 1-24. It is stitched 1*2 on 40ct white Newcastle linen with NPI silk threads 504, 406, 973 and DMC white perle cotton 12 for the four-sided stitch surround. This is a very small daily stitch and, if you keep up, you will have a finished piece by Christmas Day. Price: US$15

2. Burgundy Band Sampler SAL 2020. This SAL starts on the first Friday in January 2020. It is stitched 1*1 on 28ct linen banding with AVAS 2915 silk thread. This has the same stitch count as Blue Band Sampler, Red Band Sampler, Black Band Sampler and the ongoing SAL Amethyste Band Sampler - 73 x 985. Price: US$27

Spools are available to order at US$22 plus tracked shipping of $18 (1 or 2) or $22 (3 or 4). They come in 3 sizes 80mm, 90mm and 100mm and in two colours light and dark. 

There is also a raffle to win a complete kit for the Burgundy Band Sampler  - the pattern, the banding, silk threads and a spool and to include postage. Price: $15

It can, of course, be stitched in any colour on any type of fabric.
